Man accidentally shoots himself in hand.

At approximately 1004 hrs, Fife Police were dispatched to a report of gunfire at a hotel in the 3500 block of Pacific Hwy E.  Officers arrived and found that a 37 year old male staying in one of the rooms had shot himself in the hand while cleaning a 45 caliber pistol.  The bullet traveled through a wall and pieces of it landed on a bed occupied by another male guest in an adjoining room.  That guest was not injured.

Detectives recovered an additional 5 guns from inside the suspect’s room.  He was transported to the hospital with serious injuries.  The case will be forwarded to Fife City Prosecutor for review and consideration of charges against the shooter.
