Assault First Degree

On the evening of June 14th at approximately 5:45 PM, The Fife Police Department responded to a report of a stabbing that had just occurred in the 2800 block of Pacific Highway East.

Officers arrived and immediately took the suspect into custody.  The altercation had occurred after a verbal disagreement between two construction workers.

The suspect had slashed at the victim’s tires of his vehicle with a box cutter, and then turned the knife on the victim.  During the investigation it was learned that the suspect had previously threatened to kill the victim.

The victim sustained a slash wound to his abdomen; he was treated on scene by medical aid and released.

The suspect was booked into Pierce County Jail for assault first degree, felony harassment and malicious mischief 3rd degree.
