Fife Police Department
Press Release

On August 11th, 2014 at approximately 0100 hrs., Fife Police responded to a report of an attempted armed robbery of a female at the Loves Truck Stop in Fife.  The female caller stated to a dispatcher that a male had attempted to rob her with a handgun outside the entrance to the truck stop before she was able to flee.  She described the male and said he was accompanied by a white female.  She also provided a description and license plate number to the suspect’s vehicle.  Officers that responded to the robbery located the vehicle parked at the entrance and a female was seated in the driver’s seat and a male matching the males description was in the front passenger seat.   When the officers made contact with the vehicle, the female driver put the vehicle into gear and struck one of the officers with the vehicle door, dragging him a short distance.  The driver then attempted to run the officer over with the vehicle.  Two officers fired at the vehicle, striking it multiple times.   The vehicle fled onto southbound Interstate 5 with a Fife Officer in pursuit.  The occupants of the vehicle fired at least two rounds at the pursuing officer but did not strike his vehicle.  He lost sight of the vehicle in the area of 38th and McKinley Ave E in Tacoma.

Investigators have identified the female driver of the suspect vehicle as Yolanda Donnelle Lund.  Lund has an extensive criminal history and is currently wanted by Washington State DOC for escape community custody.  A warrant has been issued for her arrest through Pierce County Superior Court.  The male passenger has been identified as Phillip Conrad Gleason.  Gleason has an extensive criminal history and is currently wanted on a parole violation by the Idaho State Correctional Institute.  He also has a felony warrant for his arrest out of Pierce County Superior Court for unlawful possession of a firearm.  Both subjects are considered armed and dangerous.  Both are believed to have been struck by gun fire.   They have been in the Elbe/Morton area of Washington and may have fled the state to Idaho or Montana.

Anyone with information about Lund or Gleason’s current location is asked to call the Fife Police Department at #253-922-6633 or Pierce County Crime Stoppers at #1-800-222-TIPS.  Tips can also be left on the Tacoma/Pierce County Crime Stoppers web site.
