Safe abandonded beside Puyallup River

On July 30th at approximately 0830 hrs., a safe was found  beside the Puyallup River in the City of Fife.  The safe is a “Fire Fyter” brand safe model FF3095 and is similar to the one pictured below. The safe was empty and had obviously been pried open with the serial number having been removed. It is believed that it was possibly taken during a burglary or robbery.  Latent prints were lifted from the safe and it is being held in the Fife Police Department evidence room.  Anyone with information that they believe may be associated with this safe is asked to contact Lt. Thompson or Detective Nolta at the Fife Police Department at 253-922-6633.
