On the evening of June 21st at approximately 10 PM the Lakewood Police Department requested the assistance of the Fife Police Department Bloodhound “Bandit”, to attempt to locate a missing 22 year old Autistic male who has the mental capacity of a 1 year old.
Fife Police Officer Micenko and Bandit responded to the 10400 block of Gravelly Lake Dr SW in Lakewood. When they arrived it was learned that the male had been missing since approximately 4:30 in the afternoon.
Bandit was put onto the scent trail of the missing person and was able to locate him behind a fence in a brushy area after a short track. The subject was found to be safe and healthy and was returned to his residence.
