Tractor Pull for Special Olympics Washington

Fife Police Department's first annual Tractor Pull fundraiser for Special Olympics Washington was held this last Saturday in conjunction with the 2013 Fife Harvest Festival. Four teams consisting of six members each, made up a FPD team, a TFD team and two Fife High football teams, competed in a timed competition to pull a Public Works backhoe weighing 16,000 pounds, 50 feet. Winning the pull was one of the football teams with a time of 22:05 seconds! The friendly competition raised $260.00 for Special Olympics Washington. We'd like to thank Tacoma Fire, Station 12, and the Fife High School football program for their participation in the event! We look forward to competing again next year!
